Emergency First Aid at Work

This regulated qualification is ideal for those already working or preparing to work within the industry wishing to become an Emergency First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 and subsequent changes including the latest updates. It also recognised by UCAS where you can claim 8 UCAS points.

The course content includes understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider, including how to minimise the risks of infection and issues relating to consent.

Candidates will also learn how to conduct both a scene survey and a primary survey of a casualty, including summoning appropriate assistance when necessary.

Furthermore, we will address how to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty by identifying when to administer Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), demonstrate CPR using a manikin, justify when to place a casualty…
